Sadie, 23, started doing dressage in 2007 at Global Dressage with Kay Waterman. During in period she achieved two top 10 placings in two Talent Spotting finals 07/08.
In late 2008, Sadie started working for Roland Tong & Ben St. John James as a rider/groom, spending the next five years with them. Roland and Ben helped make Sadie the rider she is today, mainly riding the young horses, including Ambience IV who is co-owned by Sandra Kirkpatrick.
In 2010, Riding Ambience, Sadie became Prelim National Champion and Novice Freestyle Restricted champion in 2010, also winning 3 regional titles with him and was Hickstead Masters Novice champion.
In 2011/12, riding Fascinato owned by Lindsey Leggett, Sadie won three regional titles, became Novice Open Freestyle champion and Elementary Freestyle Champion 2012.
During 2011 Sadie acquired her own horse, Mambo, from Suzanne Lavendera as a just backed four year old. Now as six year old he has achieved 5th place at the Badminton young horse final in 2012 and qualified for all the six year old finals 2013. Unfortunately due to a virus they couldn’t compete He has also won a winter regional final.
In May 2013, Sadie also started to ride two young horses for Anni MacDonald Hall, taking lessons on her Grand Prix horse Rosso.
On Anni’s young stallion Bird Song III. Bird Song won the four year old Shearwater Championships and the Badminton young horse championships, as well as being top four year old. From August 2013, Sadie became freelance rider mainly riding for Anni and Sarah Tyler Evans. Sadie is now having lessons with Carl Hester and still trains with Anni.
